New Men Cufflinks Collection from Links of London

  • Posted on July 9, 2009 at 9:12 pm

Recently, Links of London introduce two very different collections of cufflinks to their ever expanding range of jewellery and accessories for men.

The first is the Mechanical collection, features cufflinks that have been inspired by the design of car engines and motor components and include rotating metallic discs with screw detailing. This make the collection confidently masculine in their appearance with designs. This collection are designed to recall the design details of the Driver range – men’s watches launched in 2007. Engine turned “watch lugs” recall the classic feel of driving watches whilst creating an unusual yet timeless pair of designer cufflinks.

The second is Menagerie collection, consists of designs based on unique perspectives on a variety of animals, it brings the element of fun by presenting animals and creatures in ways that you might not expect! You can find the well known hare and tortoise, a “Hot Dog” (with a dash of mustard!) as well as a large sea shell that appears to be harbouring the illustrious Titanic, also it includes a fresh and light hearted take on the famous salmon cufflinks that founded the Links of London brand in 1990.

The new designed Sweetie watches captured the fun and frivolous nature of Sweetie through watch design. For a more fashion forward take on Sweetie, watches with rose gold and black PVD finishes compliment striking black mother of pearl dials. The quick and imaginative sketch, wish from a mixture of London has created a delicious diamond covered Sweetie watches that incorporates over 450 diamonds on jewelry gifts, trimming on leather or a champagne bubble blower, an 18ct gold dearest bracelet or a disco diva charm. It is really a greatly outstanding achievement. It is the first time that a jewelry name has bent the Sweetie guard, capturing the fun and frivolous character of Sweetie through examine blueprint. Precious stones form the gear in horizontal lines or bounce across the dial in a bouncy way. Links of London love the element of personalization and allow for jewelry engraving on jewelry gifts, embossing on leather or freedom of choice at the charm bar. They like to hint at a sense of British eccentricity and humor in all that we do. But most of all, we love presentation and all of our items are tissue wrapped, pouched, boxed, ribboned and bowed, preserving that element of mystery and indulgence.

Review of Flutter & Wow Designer Jewellery Collection

“Flutter&Wow” is the new designer collection from Links of London. The name is a play on the musical term ‘wow and flutter’, which describes the quivering pitch that occurs when a vinyl disc is played. It’s an apt metaphor for the rush of romance – a hint of what this collection is all about.

We can say the Flutter & Wow designed by its director is perfect, though she took the eternal symbol of love – the heart, but she gave it a lyrical new spin. The result is an iconic design that runs the length of the collection: an asymmetrical, heart-shaped cage, wrought from interconnecting lines of gold or silver. Edgy and offbeat, this thoroughly modern heart takes its cues from the fluctuating rhythms and paradoxes of romantic love. Key pieces include a gold & diamond pendant necklace (see above picture), a statement bangle with three spinning charms, and a cluster necklace of silver nuggets accented with faceted garnet. Heart-shaped links and clasps carry the leitmotif of Flutter & Wow through to necklaces, chains and bracelets.

An Itroduction of Links of London

200906041-1

Links of London which launched in 1990 is one of the most famous leading jewelry brands in the UK. It was founded by a couple Annoushka Ducas and her hunsband John Ayton. The big brand began with a story. Annoushka’s mother requested her to provide a pair of fish cufflinks which she wanted to gift her loyal restaurant clients. So Annoushka designed and manufactured a pair of sterling silver fish cufflinks for her mother.Harvey Nichols, the exclusive London fashion store, loved the design and ordered a whole collection, and Links of London was born.

What distinguished Links of London jewelry would be its founder’s unique LOGO. She tries to  have something exciting and new to offer. They believe in design and function and endeavour to bring you contemporary classics, fashion must-haves and that extra special piece you weren’t expecting to find. That could be a nodding dog or a champagne bubble blower, an 18ct gold sweetie bracelet or a disco diva charm. Also they bring us the element of personalisation and allow for engraving on jewellery, embossing on leather or freedom of choice at the charm bar. We like to hint at our sense of British eccentricity and humour in all that we do. But most of all, we love presentation and all of our items are tissue wrapped, pouched, boxed, ribboned and bowed, preserving that element of mystery and indulgence.

Nowadays Links of London has earned a good reputation for innovative and affordable luxury gifts and jewelry. It is an award-winning British jewelry design group offering a tightly edited selection of nonpareil pieces.
